The Rodenstock eyewear collection – Lightness meets innovation

Munich, August 2022: "Engineered Purism" as this year's guiding theme of the eyewear collection from Rodenstock represents innovative technologies and technical details. Here pure aesthetics and a minimalist design meet future-oriented precision and unique craftsmanship. Each of the three large collection segments reflects one of the core competencies of Rodenstock eyewear and addresses the leitmotif "Engineered Purism" with completely new and surprising spectacle styles.

The Ultimate Lightness concept in the Lite-Tec segment
The Lite-Tec segment embodies the innovative ability of Rodenstock to rethink spectacle frames with future-oriented technologies. The modern and minimalist frames in this segment represent technical performance, a reduction to the pure form with regard to material and design, as well as lightness and individualisation.
As part of this segment the Ultimate Lightness concept presents brand new frames for prescriptive lenses which are based on the principle that a good design is reduced to the essential elements and completed with technical innovation. The frames are made of pure titanium and are virtually weightless with a weight of just 4.75 grams. The delicate temples, which are also made of pure titanium, offer maximum wearing comfort thanks to their ergonomics. A coloured Nylor thread stabilises the lenses in the bottom area of the frame and skilfully complements the lightweight, minimalist look of the spectacles with a subtle colour detail. As another highlight of this range, the colour of the Nylor thread can be freely selected from an eight-colour palette ranging from subtle nuances through to the latest on-trend colours and customised. The R7131, R7132 and R7133 models for him and her are available at a RRP of € 269.

The Retro Classic concept in the New Heritage segment
New Heritage shows modern and exceptional product concepts, which with the know-how and expertise of more than 145 years of experience become excellent frames. The existing Retro Classic concept of this segment reflects the current spirit of the time in four new frames, which celebrate the connection of modernity and classicism. New, expressive shapes are combined with the purist, iconic Retro Classic temples, whereby they become genuine style icons of our time. The new frames for her (R7134 and R7135) and him (R7136 and R7137) are made of the finest Italian semi-transparent acetate and pure titanium and the colours are matched with each other harmoniously. The new additions are available at a RRP of € 269.

The Elegance Classic concept in the Essentials segment
The Essentials are showcased with versatile and timeless styles, which offer the right frame for every style and are manufactured with forward-looking technologies. This segment focuses on the simple beauty of the frames, which reveal their special character through the fine details. As part of this segment the new Elegance Classic concept – as the name suggests – shows designs which impress with pure elegance. Colourful highlights on the upper edge of the frame and the temples are harmoniously combined with the spectacle frame, which is made entirely from allergy-free stainless steel. The acetate temple tips in matching colour cleverly pick up on the interplay of colours and on the functional side ensure pleasant wearing comfort and ideal adaptability. The ladies’ frames (R2658, R2659, R2660) in this range have a RRP of € 179, the men's models (R7129, R7130) are available at a RRP of € 249.

The SUN collection
In keeping with the season Rodenstock presents its eight new products in the Sun collection in different shapes and the latest styles for him and her. Exceptional looks are created from pure acetate or a combination of stainless steel and in part transparent acetate in trendy colours, which combine a modern design with the skill and experience of more than 145 years in manufacturing spectacles.
Like the frames for prescriptive lenses of this concept, the two sunglasses (R3333 and R3334) in the Retro Classic range impress with an acetate front with the iconically shaped temples made of stainless steel as well as lenses with a harmonious colour gradient.
The eyecatchers of the Sun collection are the two frames R3338 and R3339, which make a real fashion statement with their super trendy oversized shape in pastel shades.
As a highlight for him the sunglasses R3335 and R3336 have a distinctive, masculine shape in harsh, muted colours.
With the models R3340 and R3341 the R acetate concept also presents two sunglasses in a round and square version for her, which flatter every face and set the mood for the sun.

Sun lenses from Rodenstock – for optimal vision in the sun
As a lens expert, Rodenstock also focuses on top quality and innovative technology for the sun lenses. With UV-400 protection the lenses offer the optimal sun protection for the eyes and thanks to a special coating reduce reflections and glares for better vision.
Depending on the model and colour style, some sunglasses in the collection have Rodenstock SunContrast lenses, which enable optimal contrast perception and are therefore the ideal companion in bright and diffused light. They also absorb blue light particles better than traditional sun lenses, thus ensuring less glare and more contrasts. Rich, warm colour impressions offer a better view when out and about and in everyday situations.

All new products in the Rodenstock range are available from the beginning of August 2022 in specialist shops.
