A symbiosis of elegance and functionality
Stuttgart/Munich: "If you analyze the function of an object, its form often becomes obvious." This quote from Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche is still reflected in all Porsche Design products. With the new frames in the Wire Cut range, the exclusive lifestyle brand focuses once again on the perfect combination of functionality and design.
The purist frames (P‘8396 and P‘8929) in the Wire Cut range represent the symbiosis of elegance and function. The name is derived from the design of the socalled flex zone: Thanks to extremely delicate and precise indents on the side piece, material is deliberately reduced, creating different zones which ensure the perfect balance between stability and flexibility.
The Wire Cut range
Using the innovative Wire Cut technology the side pieces of the two new frames have precisely manufactured flex zones, which are made entirely from titanium. They offer high wearing comfort and an exact fit as the side pieces are adjusted to the shape of the face. They lend a particularly technical detail to the otherwise minimalist models.
The P‘8396, as classic prescriptive lenses, is available in four colours at a RRP of € 480. As sunglasses in the aviator look the P‘8929, which is also represented in four colour nuances, is available at a RRP from € 390 - € 440 depending on the coating.
The new frames in the Wire Cut range are available from August 2021 from exclusive retail outlets, in the Porsche Design stores, as well as online at www.porsche-design.com .
