Marcus Desimoni becomes CFO of Rodenstock

Munich, 1 January 2021 – The Rodenstock Group, a global leader in eye health innovation and manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses and frames, has announced a change to its Management Board. Marcus Desimoni has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer, effective from 1 January 2021. He takes over from Antonio Arrigoni, who has successfully served as CFO since 2017 and is moving on to take a new professional challenge.

“Marcus Desimoni perfectly fits into the management team of Rodenstock. His extensive experience in the medtech sector makes him a strong addition to the company,” says Rodenstock CEO Anders Hedegaard. “We sincerely thank Mr. Arrigoni not only for his significant contribution to the success of Rodenstock but also his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and wish him all the best.”

Marcus Desimoni joins Rodenstock from GN Store Nord A/S and GN Hearing A/S in Denmark, where he was CFO. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions at Siemens AG. In the coming months, current CFO Mr. Arrigoni will assist with the handover to the new CFO.

“I’m delighted to join Rodenstock as CFO. The company has a long tradition and excellent reputation. It harnesses highly innovative technologies to manufacture and distribute world-class products. Thanks to its recent strong performance, the business has huge growth potential. This will help drive Rodenstock’s continued transformation into a global leader in the medtech industry. I am looking forward to the challenge,” says Marcus Desimoni.

Following its record performance in 2019, the Rodenstock Group has delivered strong growth and recovered quickly from the COVID-19 challenges in 2020.
