Roland Dimbath becomes COO of Rodenstock

Munich, 1 January 2021 – The Rodenstock Group, a global leader in eye health innovation and manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses and frames, has announced a change to its Management Board. Roland Dimbath has been appointed as the new Chief Operations Officer, effective from January 1st 2021. He takes over from Dr. Michael Kleer, who has successfully served as COO since 2007 and will begin his retirement, but will act in 2021 as Senior Advisor to represent Rodenstock in associations and federations.

“We are pleased that we have found such an experienced internal successor. His profound knowledge of the industry and the company based on his different positions in the past make him perfectly qualified for the position of the COO” says Rodenstock CEO Anders Hedegaard. “We sincerely thank Dr. Kleer for his outstanding work which has left a lasting mark on Rodenstock and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.”

Roland Dimbath has been with Rodenstock since April 2006 and held different management positions in the company. In his last position as Head of Operations & Sales Eastern Europe he was responsible for the production plant in Klatovy where he nearly doubled the production volumes within 4 years.
