Women Want
This spring, women will get their
hearts' desire from Rodenstock: ornate decorative elements,
exciting patterns, and lovingly implemented details. Here,
Rodenstock always remains true to itself and its reduced style –
the design is perfectly harmonious and balanced. For example,
models R 2179 and R 2181 have an elegant decoration on the sides
that is suggestive of the shape of a bow. The design is
available as a full rim or Nylor frame. The combination of
decorative metal fronts and sides made of the most exquisite
Italian acetate in different classical colours gives the models
an unmistakeably confident style.
Other
ladies' spectacles make their impression with elaborately
crafted sides in a leather look. With models R 2191 and R 2192,
the outside of the acetate side is refined with a special and
innovative embossing technique. The result is that the look and
feel are an absolute highlight – and are suggestive of exquisite
leather goods such as handbags and belts. An open lug design
made of metal creates an airy counterpart to the wide acetate
sides of the Nylor and also rimless frames. Discrete, feminine
colours like muted deep red, brown, Havana, and gold have a
classic and elegant effect and go well with any style and on any
occasion.
Models R 2198 and R 2199 offer
lifestyle with some structure. Slender metal fronts with a full
rim or Nylor and a thrilling sides design make these ladies
frames into the eye-catcher of the Rodenstock lifestyle segment.
Smooth and matt metal lugs create a transition to the
spectacularly wrought sides made of multilayer acetate where a
three-dimensional pattern is embedded into the middle layer. In
combination with mother-of-pearl effects and the fresh colours
of the acetate, this processing technique provides thrilling
effects.

for True Innovations
Starting last year,
Rodenstock presented an innovative clip-on system, which has now
been further developed for decorative metal frames. Models R
2189 and R 2187 carry on this sophisticated concept. The frames
in a Panto shape pick up on the hip retro trend and implement it
in a modern way, thereby making it into a timeless look for men
of all ages. Above all, the details are convincing. The
practically invisible magnet mechanism for attaching and the
fine, slender workmanship of the sun clip do not disclose
anything of the refined dual function of these spectacles.
Perfectly crafted lacquered areas on the sides with tone-in-tone
colour that matches the front of the frame round out the
harmonious look.
In contrast, men's
frames R 2185, R 2184, and R 2186 have matt, transparent sides
made of the high-performance plastic Trogamid in a somewhat
wider design giving them a particularly modern effect. As a full
or half-rim frame, these models are captivating because of very
special technical details and an interesting mix of materials.
The integrated lug-side construction is not only technically
innovative, but also provides a sporty look together with the
logo as a metal inlay. The colours are absolutely timeless and
simultaneously very expressive, like a silver-crystal
combination, gun with blue or a deep burgundy combined with
classic black.

Little Rascals
Even youngsters want
Rodenstock. For that reason, the children's collection,
which was launched extremely successfully in 2010, has now been
expanded to include three new models. Just like with the first
kids' collection, the focus here is on adaptability,
wearing comfort and functionality. An innovative system makes it
easy to shorten the sides. A rubber plug connection between the
lug and side can be removed in order to adjust the length, which
is very important for children, who naturally have very
individual distances between their eyes and ears. Slip-proof
ends on the sides and super-flexible Metal-Flex solutions on the
bridge and sides guarantee perfect wearing comfort and safety in
any situation. Cool colours and harmonious lens shapes make the
spectacles into a fashion statement for kids.
