The Aesthetics of Perfection
Porsche Design presents its extension to the
current eyewear collection for summer 2011. The new models are
convincing with features that are typical of the luxury brand:
purist design, innovative technology, perfect engineering and
exclusive materials.
Porsche Design is
expanding the new line for men, which was launched in January,
with two sporty correction frames that are characterised by an
extremely solid structure that is light at the same time. It is
called Honeycomb. The original honey-comb from bees is the
inspiration and design template for these high-tech spectacles.
The structure of honeycomb has been used for a long time in
aerospace and automobile technology – exactly where the material
has to have high strength as well as lightness. As a further
development of the sunglasses that already exist, correction
frames P'8199 and P'8210 have the honeycomb structure
only on the inside of the sides, making the contrasts even more
discrete. The models are available in a full-rim and Nylor
version and are very convincing with their decorative metal
front and slim lugs. These features give the sporty spectacles a
light and modern impression.
Correction frame
P'8205 is characterised by purism, lightness as well as
flexibility, and is available in two different Carré lens
shapes. The P'8205 S1 has an elegant, rounded shape, and
the P'8205 S1 makes a sporty, slender and angular
impression. The minimalistic front is supported by decorative
titanium connections. The sides are made of matt,
semi-transparent polyamide and are equipped with a moulded-in
hinge for optimum fitting. The lenses of the rimless models are
fastened without screws, which highlights the minimalistic
high-tech look of the spectacles.
Fans of the
colour gold will be happy with the very special colour addition
of the successful P'8508 aviator sunglasses in light gold.
Not only the frame, but the lenses have it as well: The
classical base colour, brown, becomes an eye-catcher thanks to a
progression and golden mirroring. This qualifies the additional
colour as an absolute must-have for fans of the cool and
timeless aviator models.

the Porsche Design Eyewear Collection can be ordered from
