Perfection in its most beautiful form
Porsche Design presents the consistent expansion of
the current spectacles collection. A total of ten new sunglasses
and correction frames carry on the philosophy of Porsche Design
and pick up on the typical features of the luxury brand at the
same time, which are reduced shapes, innovative functionality
and select materials. The results are exclusive spectacles with
outstanding wearing comfort for the highest demands.
Flowing shapes: Flowing
titanium The men’s line made of titanium that
was already successfully launched last year follows the styling
of the legendary design icon, the Porsche 911. The silhouette of
the sports car with its flowing lines and smooth transitions is
the major source of inspiration for all models in this line. The
spectacles are made of beta-titanium. The material known from
aerospace technology stands for maximum lightness, flexibility
and hence the greatest wearing comfort. The P’8496 sunglasses
have a technical-masculine air about them. Openings on the
nose-piece and flowing shapes give this model a poised vibrancy,
while finely crafted edges create a discrete interplay of light
and shade. The P’8182 correction spectacles combine elegance and
a sporty look. The optimum lens for the curved half-rim frame
also comes from Porsche Design – Tailor-Made Glasses. The
tailor-made high-tech lenses are individually adapted to the
wearer’s eye and the frame. The result is a perfectly matched
product with the highest optical quality and unsurpassed
harmonious aesthetics. The image is completed by a brand that is
laser engraved into the lens. Bothersome reflections are reduced
to a minimum with a specially developed Premium antireflection
coating. Hence, high-contrast vision is possible in any
situation. In addition, the lenses are equipped with a
scratch-resistant, water and grease-repellent Premium care
coating, which also has antistatic properties. Dirt simply beads
and cleaning the lenses is child’s play.
Aerodynamic eyewear: stylistically
confident functionality The sporty P’8503 and
P’8504 sunglasses are the perfect companion for active Porsche
Design fans. Inspired by test runs in wind tunnels and by the
Porsche car design, the dynamic lines and high-tech materials
ensure a confident style in any situation. The spectacles, with
two-component sides and soft rubber ends as well as lenses made
of extremely shatterproof polycarbonate lenses that have an
antireflection coating on the inside, guarantee the greatest
possible wearing comfort and safety, even for fast sports. They
also let ladies and gentlemen look good after
sport.
Carbon acetate glasses:
exquisite cockpit look The two correction
models, P’8190 and P’8191, make a clear statement for a
self-confident and elegant image. The frames are made of
high-quality plastic and are designed in an exclusive carbon
look. In order to add to the liveliness, the effect of this look
is supplemented with translucent polyamide. The specialness is
also found in the details. These convincing spectacles have a
spring hinge that is completely integrated in the
frame.
Porsche Design Woman:
puristic, precise, feminine The ladies
collection launched for the first time by Porsche Design at the
beginning of the year is captivating with its reduced styling
that concentrates on the essentials, thereby highlighting what
is special. Three brand new sunglasses supplement this idea.
With P’9522 and P’8526, the luxury brand has brought two more
aviator models to the market made of plastic and stainless steel
respectively in the large-size shield look. Kept sporty and
elegant at the same time, the P’8524 sunglasses suit the face
shape optimally, as do the other models. In addition to the
soft, feminine and simultaneously clear lines, the spectacles of
the Porsche Design sunglasses collection for ladies are also
convincing due to their functional details such as the
integrated spring hinges.
The new models from
the Porsche Design Eyewear collection are available effective
immediately from the license partner, Rodenstock.
