The summer perfectly in your sights with Rodenstock
Class instead of mass: The new summer collection of
Rodenstock correction frames is limited to 16 highlight models.
Nevertheless, the Munich spectacles manufacturer covers the
entire range of styles and demands from a timeless design for
spectacles wearers who have remained young, continuing with
unconventional progressive concepts for lifestyle fans, right up
to classical elegance. Stylistically, the three segments are
quite distinct. However, they are united by Rodenstock's
claim of making exclusive use of high-quality materials and the
best workmanship.
Rodenstock
Timeless: Minimalism as a mind-set Less is
more – the new, eight-part Timeless series follows this basic
notion. Striking design elements stand out even more with
reduced, partly minimalistic frames. With three of the five
ladies models, for example, handcrafted Swarovski crystals are
set into the transition from the sides to the lugs. Especially
in the summer, this ensures a very eye-catching light display.
In order to meet all customer requests, the assortment includes
a rimless, a Nylor and a very decorative fine full-rim
frame. The three men’s models are also based on a
material reduction – two Nylor and one rimless frame. The
stainless steel R 2148 is especially remarkable: The middle
section is kept intentionally narrow, in contrast to the temples
which are specifically wider. The Rodenstock “R” is embedded in
the sides in a technically complex and graphically consistent
way as a design feature. The logo is seen directly on the hinge
in a similarly refined way with the rimless R 2145 frame. The
design principle for models R 2146 and R 2147 is the modern,
clearly geometric style, whereby Rodenstock focuses on the
perfect combination of shape, function, and colour. A feature of
the Nylor frames is also the skilful highlighting of the
different materials – metal and plastic – through fine colour
contrasts. The colour coordination of the side end covers with
the plastic hinges underscores the exclusivity of this segment
(R 2141, R 2142, R 2143, R 2144, R 2145, R 2146, R 2147, R
2148).
Rodenstock Lifestyle: Varied
style awareness All those spectacles wearers
who like to experiment with styles and fashionable diversity
will feel right at home in the Lifestyle segment. Therefore, the
three new frames from Rodenstock make a point of setting
contrasting accents. The R 5246 frame with its combination of a
plastic front and straight metal sides follows a youthful mix of
styles. The ladies collection stands out with young, full-frame
frames made of polyamide, in which the summery lightness of
model R 5243 is also accentuated by the satiny sides of Trogamid
(R 5243, R 5244, R 5246, R
2148).
Rodenstock Classic: Elegance
combined with technical finesse The five
frames of the Classic segment once again prove Rodenstock’s high
demands. All are made of high-quality titanium and the sides
document handcrafted perfection. Especially interesting here is
the new, integrated spring hinge in models R 2105 and R 2106,
which are compatible with progressive lenses, with elegant
decorative elements on the sides. Ladies models R 2129
and R 2130 are based on an open sides concept, which is clearly
developed in a high-quality and decorative way. As a result, the
sides take on a tasteful elegance that can replace any broach or
necklace (R 2105, R 2106, R 2129, R
2130).
The launch is supported by attractive
PoS material. Among other things, there is an appealing display
with LED illumination for exclusive placement of the highlighted
model. In addition, a seminar from the Rodenstock
Academy specifically designed for the new frames collection
focuses on the sale of high-quality ladies spectacles and shows
interested opticians how they can also sell more than just the
spectacles through competent, creative and stylistically
confident advice.
