Starry Times for Modern Design
Rodenstock launched the first Mercedes-Benz Eyewear
collection in the autumn during the course of an exclusive
event. Rodenstock and Mercedes-Benz are presenting an
additional, highly functional expansion of the collection at the
opti 2011 – the Driver's Edition. The collection now
encompasses 20 extraordinary sunglasses and correction
frames.
Shoulder to Shoulder at
the Highest Level Rodenstock and
Mercedes-Benz are two premium brands that mutually enhance each
other at the highest level. As the worldwide licensee for
spectacles from Mercedes-Benz, Rodenstock is expanding the
best-known international brand to include another facet and
contributes more than 130 years of experience and the associated
know-how in the lenses and frames sector to the cooperative
venture. The launch collection is centred around exquisite
models that are convincing due to their sporty elegance and
design as well as functional quality. Features that meet the
highest demands will thrill more than just the aficionados of
the German car brand.
Three different
product lines address different brand-aware groups of buyers. A
specially adapted collection was designed especially for Asian
end customers. Except for the models in the shield look, all
sunglasses can be equipped with correction lenses.
The spectacles are mainly in muted, dark hues like
blue, black, burgundy, and Havana. Most models are offered in
four colours.
Modern
Line With three sunglasses in the hip curved
or shield look, the sporty entry-level segment appeals primarily
to younger lifestyle-oriented end customers. The star is wrought
three-dimensionally in metal and placed conspicuously on the
side. Typical car paint colours capture the current trends in
the automobiles.
Premium
Line The upmarket model series for the
elegant, comfort-oriented spectacle wearer is presented in the
Premium Line. The Carré and pilot spectacles in this line are a
reference to timeless classics. Finely matched material
combinations of metal and plastic guarantee a stylish appearance
and the greatest possible wearing comfort in any situation. As a
reference to the car design, the Premium Line has a protruding
line on the temples. Even the newly added M1010 is convincing as
metal spectacles in the aviator style with the appealing blend
of a masculine front and decorative
styling.
Exclusive
Line The three correction frames and three
sunglasses in the Exclusive Line radiate discrete luxury and
superiority. A very exclusive choice of materials and
workmanship is responsible for this. The extremely light, pure
titanium and innovatively integrated spring hinges are very
appealing to the technology fans of the brand. In addition, the
matt/shiny patterns on the temples are inspired by the radiators
and also provide an exciting flair. The colours, which were
consciously chosen to be cool, and the dynamic shapes of these
spectacles suit men any
age.
Safety First: The Driver’s
Edition One special feature of the
collection is the newly launched Driver's Edition. It
includes three sunglasses from the different product lines,
which can also be provided with Rodenstock SunContrast as well
as with polarised lenses. The recently added M1010 is also very
convincing as metal spectacles in the aviator style with the
appealing blend of a masculine Carré shape and decorative
styling. The sun protection lenses provide UV and glare
protection in any situation, and they do so with the individual
prescriptions without any limitations. This is not only an
optical gain for car drivers, but a decisive plus in the area of safety.
