Premium Meets Premium

Rodenstock is looking forward to its partnership with a major German brand at the Mido 2010. The exceptional collection shall complete Rodenstock's premium portfolio starting in spring 2010. Rodenstock – with its 130 years of experience and the associated know-how in lenses and frames – and Mercedes-Benz being one the most well-known brands in the world, complement one another perfectly.

Modern Classics
As a worldwide licensee of the spectacles from Mercedes/Benz, Rodenstock is presenting the first sunglasses and correction spectacles as of spring 2010. The exquisite models are very convincing with their elegant sportiness and design and functional quality at the highest possible level, which means they will appeal to more than only fans of the German car brand. Three different product lines ensure a wide range of brand-conscious buyers. A specially adapted collection was designed especially for Asian end customers.

Self-confidence as a statement
The sporty entry level segment is directed primarily at young design fans and will be introduced as a pure sunglasses collection. Progressive shapes in a curved or shield look as well as striking 3D workmanship and logos placed on metal plates will convince lifestyle-oriented men who like to visibly wear the famous star.

The premium segment of the upmarket model series for the elegant, comfort-orientated spectacles wearer is characterised by a timeless design and picks up the shapes of the classical Carré and pilot spectacles. Harmonious material combinations of metal and plastic guarantee greatest possible wearing comfort.

The top segment stands for pure luxury and superiority with a particularly exclusive choice of materials. Extremely light, pure titanium and innovative integrated spring hinges will appeal to technology-enamoured fans of the brand. Cool colours and masculine/dynamic shapes suite real men of any age.

For connoisseurs
Based on the typical car paint colours of Mercedes-Benz, the spectacles are mainly in muted, dark hues like blue, black, burgundy, and Havana. Most models are offered in four colours. Matt surfaces for the plastic frames, or alternatively matt/gloss patterns inspired by radiator grills for the metal spectacles ensure thrilling effects.

The Mercedes-Benz spectacles collection will be available as of spring/summer 2010 worldwide from specialised opticians. In the international market, there will be a total of seven correction models and five in Asia. In addition, nine sunglasses will be launched internationally and four in Asia. A teaser collection has already been shown in February at the Shanghai International Optical Fair.

A variety of appealing promotion material and high-grade displays are available to support opticians in successful selling.
