Rodenstock is to be the first manufacturer
worldwide to provide an iPad application for lens consulting to
opticians starting in autumn 2010. That way, the Munich
manufacturer will facilitate a new dimension of modern customer
consulting for opticians. Conventional single-vision lenses or
complex progressive lenses – the application vividly shows the
differences and benefits of different Rodenstock products and
optimally supports the consulting discussion using the latest
standards of modern technology. With the clearly
organised program, it is possible to compare lenses to each
other and demonstrate the differences on the iPad. The
parameters that are relevant to selecting a lens such as the
pupil distance, corneal vertex distance, frame tilt and bow
angle are easy to enter and can be changed as needed. The
application can also be started in different
languages.
Easy
selling The easy presentation and handling
clarify arguments in a sales discussion in a vivid and
end-user-friendly way, and make it possible to sell high-quality
products more easily and with less effort. At the same time, the
application can be used in any corner of the shop and in any
consulting situation, thanks to the wireless
iPad.
Up-to-date Timo
Scherf, Head of Corporate Product Management Lenses at
Rodenstock: “We are happy to be the first manufacturer to offer
our customers such a consulting application. Besides
conventional promotional sales material, the demand for mobile
consulting programs is increasing. Our claim here as well is to
always be at the state of the art and give our customers the
best possible support.”
The program will be
available in the App Store as of autumn 2010. Rodenstock
customers can then easily register for the application in
Rodenstock Net under www.rodenstock.net. Attractive offers for
the market launch and an easy to understand quick user’s guide
will complete the package.
