The year 2011 could hardly have started better for
Rodenstock. After the opti, which ended with record results, the
Munich spectacles manufacturer presented its new products just
as successfully in Shanghai and Moscow. At Moscow's
"International Salon of Ophthalmologic Optics" and the
"Shanghai International Optics Fair", Rodenstock
showed innovative new developments in the area of lenses as well
as its latest eyewear collections. Three exclusive launch
parties for the Porsche Design, dunhill and Mercedes-Benz
brands, which are extremely popular in Asia, completed the
programme surrounding the SIOF in Shanghai
perfectly.
China at a
Glance The week in Shanghai was a success
across the board. The new frames were received with enthusiasm
not only at the trade fair, but also at the launch events - and
many were ordered as well. The evening events took place in very
exclusive and simultaneously authentic locations that
represented the brands perfectly. They included the legendary
Alfred Dunhill Home in Shanghai, the Porsche Design Store on one
of the most luxurious shopping streets in the city, as well as
the Park Hyatt Hotel with its breathtaking view above the
skyline. Selected customers and representatives of the press
were able to join in with the latest trends in stylish ambience,
discuss the most recent developments in the thrilling market of
China, and win valuable accessories from the luxury brands in
draws that are typical for Chinese New
Year.
Oliver Kastalio, CEO of the Rodenstock
Group is more than pleased with the SIOF and the flanking brand
events: "Our order books are full; we have exceeded last
year's results by far. The extremely positive reactions
from customers herald an extremely successful year in 2011,
which is very important in such an important growth market like
China."
Russian Revolution with
EyeLT The professional audience in Moscow
were just a convinced by the different eyewear collections. The
new developments in the area of lenses were also met with great
interest here as they were in Shanghai. The highlight of the
trade fair, EyeLT - the revolution in progressive lenses - is
already turning out to be a true success concept, not only in
Russia and China.
