Attractive Outlooks for University Graduates
Rodenstock GmbH offers university graduates
attractive opportunities to start their careers. For example,
the company participates in recruiting fairs in Munich,
Deggendorf and Aalen, as it has in previous years. In addition,
selected students can complete practical training with Germany’s
leading manufacturer of lenses and frames, or write a very
practical thesis with excellent professional
guidance.
20 Practical training
positions “We have already been working
together intensively with universities for many years in order
to acquire the best and most motivated specialists for our
company," says Christian Klümper, Head of Corporate Human
Resources at Rodenstock. Every year, the company’s headquarters
in Munich offers talented up-and-coming scientists the
possibility to write their bachelor’s or master’s theses on a
topic with practical relevance. Moreover, practical training
positions are awarded in the summer and winter semesters.
“Students are very happy to make use of both offers. They are
given the opportunity to get to know an innovative, industrial
company with a leading, international market position in
practice,” continues Klümper.
The
future is in young talent Besides a regular
dialogue and contact with universities, another important way to
acquire qualified specialists and management trainees is at
recruiting fairs. This year, Rodenstock was already represented
at the Job Market of the University of Deggendorf in April, the
AIM Industry Fair of the University of Aalen is coming up in
October, and the University Contact Fair (Hoko) is in Munich in
November.
“Graduates of economics or
communication science, the fields of design, optics, micro and
precision engineering, process technology, physics and
mechanical engineering have very good chances of being accepted
for practical training or an entry-level job offer. However,
graduates in other specialised fields are also warmly welcome in
our company," adds Christian Klümper. Last year as well,
Rodenstock also hired a multitude of new highly qualified
graduates. Some of them had previously completed practical
training or written a thesis at the Munich
headquarters.
High potentials -
mentorship This year for the first time,
Rodenstock plans to support the Manage & More programme of
the Technical University of Munich. The goal of the programme is
to make it easier for scholarship holders to obtain relevant
professional experience. Rodenstock will accompany the
participants on their way to a professional life in projects and
through mentorship. The “MovING” project of the
University of Deggendorf has a similar approach for promoting
careers especially for women. In the future, Rodenstock will
support this mentorship programme alongside well-known companies
like Siemens, Infineon, ZF, MAN, and Pfleiderer.
