From a Love of Detail
Rodenstock presents an expansion of the
Baldessarini spectacles collection, which includes ten new
luxury models, to a professional audience at this
year's opti. With it, the stylish substance of the
BALDESSARINI and BALDESSARINI Signature lines is carried on with
a total of 45 correction frames and sunglasses: a desire for
individuality, a passion for quality, and a love of detail. The
look of the campaign from Baldessarini is also new in 2011. Tony
Ward is not only a model, but also an actor, photographer and
painter and perfectly embodies the Baldessarini man due to his
diversity.
BALDESSARINI: Casual
and stylishly expressive The BALDESSARINI
line follows the spirit of the times and appeals to the stylish
expressiveness of confident, smart men with its casual and
modern retro look. Most models are made of ultralight titanium
or alternatively an acetate blend that was developed exclusively
for BALDESSARINI. The distinctive mark of all models are two
prominent stainless steel rivets on the sides, which
BALDESSARINI BLACK also uses in fashion. In some models,
BALDESSARINI makes use of a discrete but refined placement of
the logo in the middle of the top bar.
In
2011, five new sunglasses and two colour additions expand the
portfolio of models that can be glazed. The new additions
include both simple as well as striking models made of acetate
and metal. The B1104 makes a real statement and attracts
attention through its progressive look. The stylish detail of
these spectacles is a plastic insert in the sides that can be
removed or inserted at will depending on the desired look. The
sides are not only striking eye-catchers, but also provide
effective protection against incident light. Two of
the new sunglasses are the counterparts of the new correction
frames and are available in different, expressive two-layer
colour variations. Here, the interplay of colours between the
inside and outside of the frames provides enthralling contrasts.
BALDESSARINI is also releasing a strikingly designed acetate
frame with a double bar in this two-layer colour variation.
In addition, three material-reduced
correction frames are coming at the beginning of 2011 as a
fashionable statement. They have a finely edged eye ring made of
acetate and are somewhat more decorative this year than the
acetate models in the last collection. The models in the aviator
style are convincing with prominent details like a double
bridge, different two-layer acetate materials or a bridge in a
keyhole design.
In addition, two new
models made of an aluminium-acetate mix will supplement the new
arrivals of correction frames as of the spring. The frames,
which are equipped with spring hinges, are mainly made of
aluminium, which is very rarely used in spectacles
manufacturing, thereby emphasising the special quality of the
BALDESSARINI design.
BALDESSARINI
Signature: Each pair of spectacles is
unique The exclusive spectacles from
BALDESSARINI Signature are wrought from the horn of the Indian
water buffalo and are handmade in Germany. Very harmonious
colour progressions are characteristic of this horn. The
individual material qualities make each pair of spectacles into
a valuable one-of-a-kind. The luxurious appearance of the modern
and simultaneously timeless spectacles is completed by the
BALDESSARINI Signature logo engraved on the inside of the sides
and covered with a transparent lacquer.
The two new arrivals to this exclusive
collection convey lasting elegance and cultivated luxury. The
spectacles are captivating due to their striking design, the
highest precision in their workmanship, refined horn textures,
and a discretely matched and harmonious world of colours. Both
the new correction frames as well as the sunglasses are based on
a thrilling combination of horn and titanium. The styling of the
two new models is a homage to the swinging sixties.
All models are delivered in an exquisite
velour case with a matching cleaning cloth. A special balsam for
the genuine horn is also included with the BALDESSARINI
Signature spectacles.
