140 years of innovation and brilliance in one exhibition.

Rodenstock up close!

We are celebrating 140 years of Rodenstock and perfect moments of vision! For this anniversary we opened a special exhibition in January 2017 which showcased the history of better vision and our pioneering innovations. Numerous visitors entered our exhibition and rediscovered vision.

Impressive setups and modern stations were on show for one week on 220 m² in the "MUCA - museum of urban and contemporary art" in Munich. Visitors shared visions, dared to interact, showed emotion and experienced perfect moments of vision!

MUCA

As the place to be for urban and contemporary art lovers, MUCA offers a high- profile exhibition program. On several “art experience levels” art works of renowned, internationally celebrated artists can be found throughout the museum. In addition to that MUCA provides a platform for experimental formats and outstanding in- and outdoor art projects.

A masterpiece reinterpreted.

A special exhibit celebrated the anniversary frame Rodenstock "Masterpiece". The spectacles appeared in a completely new light, interpreted by the Munich-based "Textile Artwork" artist Nora Gres.

The work of Nora Gres depicts textile illustrations. Her creations have a wonderful narrative context and thus play with the areas of illustration, fashion and urban space."

A journey through the history of vision.

The stations and exhibits recounted technical feats, people who made them possible, as well as the emotions and visions which drive them. Visitors rejoiced about viewing an original Rodenstock Race Car, trying on over 50 different types of frames from the past decades or the illusion of - 5 dioptres.

Star-studded opening event.

Already on the first weekend numerous visitors discovered the exhibition. At the opening event on Saturday evening, celebrities like actor Florian David Fitz, model Barbara Meier and TV host Karin Webb together with many others marvelled at the exhibits.
